As part of its Immersive Learning program, the corporation is opening its campuses at select universities. It has already allocated $150 million to the initiative.
The company will open 10 virtual campuses as part of Immersive Learning, which aims to bring education into a virtual reality environment.
This event will take place in conjunction with Victoryxr, an education project. One of the universities is the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), which is an online university. More than 45,000 students at this university will now be able to meet in the metaverse online to network and share their experiences.
As part of this plan, the university will offer five courses in the metaverse campus that will not incur additional costs compared to regular courses. However, the university is limited in the number of headsets (required for courses) it can provide to students.
In short, it sounds very cool, but the cooler it sounds, the easier it is to shit yourself. Because Meta is already hated by everyone...well, good luck, Zuckerberg!
