Binance will move some stablecoins to BUSD

Share

The largest exchange said Monday that it will no longer support USDP, USDC, and TUSD but will convert them at a 1:1 ratio to BUSD.

"Beginning 2022-09-29 03:00 (UTC), users will trade with a consolidated BUSD balance on the Binance platform that reflects their balances of these four stablecoins (BUSD, USDC, USDP, and TUSD) after conversion," if their September 5th announcement is to be believed.

As the exchange states in the FAQ section, this is done to provide more liquidity and improve the user experience.

But if you look at the question from the other side, BUSD on the p2p market is a bit lost compared to TUSD, but you can not see it on the spot. And frankly, it looks like an attempt to show their monopoly, pushing their competitors by stakes.

Especially for you, here's a list of pairs that Binance will remove and stop trading with them on 2022-09-26 03:00 (UTC): "USDC/BUSD, USDC/USDT, USDP/BUSD, USDP/USDT, TUSD/BUSD, TUSD/USDT.

And also, on September 29th (i.e., three days later): "ADA/USDC, ATOM/USDC, AUD/USDC, BCH/USDC, BNB/USDC, BTC/USDC, BTTC/USDC, EOS/USDC, ETH/USDC, LINK/USDC, LTC/USDC, SOL/USDC, TRX/USDC, WIN/USDC, XRP/USDC, ZEC/USDC, BNB/USDP, BTC/USDP, ETH/USDP, ADA/TUSD, BNB/TUSD, BTC/TUSD, ETH/TUSD, TRX/TUSD, XRP/TUSD.
