OpenSea BLUR'ed: the fight continues

Share

Hey, Moni Maker! 👾

Today, in 1940, two rascals first appeared on TV screens: Tom and Jerry.

The cartoon is cool, but... it has created a myth in the public consciousness that cats and dogs are sworn enemies, which is not true.

The same goes for crypto. People look at crooks, FTX, and LUNA and think that crypto is a scam. But crypto is x's, new friends, and, in the end, it's you and us! And it's also fun. So today, we'll talk about the fight between OpenSea and Blur. We'll remember ALL the activities of that week that you should watch. And we'll read the news about SEC and StepN.

Let's go!

OpenSea is BLURed?

We covered the battle between OpenSea and Blur some time ago. Long story short, Blur accused OpenSea of unfair royalties distribution and called NFT collection to boycott the platform.

OpenSea decided to respond:

– They removed their fees. There are no fees, yay!

– It's not known how long this offer will last. It started on February 17th; maybe it will last a couple of days to a week.

– Royalties are now customizable. You have to pay the author a minimum of 0.5%, but you can increase this sum

– The Operator Filter, which is essentially a whitelist, will no longer block marketplaces that follow the same policy

And yes, OpenSea hinted at an airdrop (probably) and threw shade at BLUR in response, saying that BLUR's decision to boycott OpenSea was a mistake.

So what?

– Hooray! The bulls! Well, 50/50. Projects are competing with each other, the competition has begun, exciting!

– We're not going to tell you to buy anything through OpenSea, they didn't pay us. But while fees = 0, why not? Just be careful and don't fall for scams.
