The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission received a new application for bitcoin-based ETF registration. It was filed by Valkyrie Digital Assets.
According to the document, Valkyrie Investments plans to launch a BTC-backed fund. Coinbase Custody will provide custodial services for BTC storage.
If the application is approved, Valkyrie Investments will list the ETF on the NYSE Arca exchange.

Apparently, we're at the start of a new trend in BTC-ETFs.
Marathon Patent Group today announced the purchase of 4,813 BTCs worth about $150 million, with an average purchase price of $31,135. The money was allocated from the company's reserves.
"We also believe that holding part of our treasury reserves in bitcoin will be a better long-term strategy than holding U.S. dollars, similar to other forward-thinking companies like MicroStrategy." - said Merrick Okamoto.
Ha! Merrick, surprise! Who among the adequate people keeps reserves in dollars these days?
Circle recently announced the integration of USDC into Solana blockchain.
