Help Afghanistan?

Share

Hey Moni Maker

Today, in 1958, China's television first went on air. Probably, even then, state-owned media outraged bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and digital money. Well, apart from the yuan, of course.

FUD is endless, but what is it to us? In crypto, events happen so quickly that sometimes you don’t remember even the loudest and seemingly negative ones. So ... what were we talking about? Oh, there is a Digest! Let’s go!

Afghanistan and crypto

Crypto and afghan

As Decrypt reports, Ethereum co-founder Charles Hoskinson today said that cryptocurrencies will come to the rescue in Afghanistan.

Hoskinson, who is also the founder of Cardano, the third-largest digital asset by market cap, told CNBC in an interview yesterday that crypto could be used as a tool to fight against the Taliban.

He didn’t explain exactly how crypto would do this—but hinted that privacy could be something that is useful for the country’s citizens.

“It is my belief that cryptocurrencies are going to play a larger role in Afghanistan this time around, in the war for and against the Taliban forces,” he said. “There is going to continue to be civil war and conflict and they are going to need resources,” he added, noting that crypto was already in Afghanistan.

So what?

Yes, the headline and the subheading are total crap. But you know, in such cases, it's better to save your witticisms for...for Trump, for example!

Sleepy Joe outplayed you?

Oh, you are sleeping too!

As Fox Business reports, Former President Trump warned on Tuesday that investing in cryptocurrencies is "potentially a disaster waiting to happen."

Trump said he has "not been a big fan" of cryptocurrencies during an exclusive interview on "Varney & Co." Tuesday, noting that he does not invest in Bitcoin and other digital currencies.

"I like the currency of the United States," Trump told host Stuart Varney.

He argued that investing in cryptocurrencies "hurts the United States currency" and "we should be invested in our currency."

Tuesday’s attack on cryptos was the second made by the former president on FOX Business as Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies remain unregulated within the U.S. financial system.

So what?

Well, Trump, you're working off a narrative - that's clear. But why crypto? Your attacks couldn't even bring down "sleepy Joe". Now that Joe is sitting with his ass in your chair, thinking of ways to make life worse for the crypto cats. Yeah...

Anyway, let's not do that.
