We were in London; now we want to go to Shanghai

Genesis may go bankrupt, and the U.S. bans the Russian exchange Bitzlato. Fine, OK, OK! But...why do we like to ignore good news? We mean the Ethereum news :)

Ethereum successfully completed its Merge on September 15, 2022. The following stages were supposed to be Surge, Verge, Purge and Splurge. But the developers decided to do the "Shanghai" update and then go for the "Proof-Of-Stake" updates.

Surge, the next stage of the POS Ethereum update, should increase TPS. Like, the transactions will go faster, and the amount will also be more significant. Shanghai will help with this update; that's why it should go earlier.

Now let's talk about the Shanghai update. The main feature of the update will be EIP-4895: Beacon Chain Push Withdrawals as Operations. In short, validators who have been pushing their Ethereum into staking will now be able to withdraw it. And long-term ETH holders and stakers will get more rewards for holding and staking the asset.

On top of that, there will also be EIP-3651: Warm COINBASE. This will distinguish between people who build projects and speculators - the first ones will no longer have to pay fees for failed transactions on the Ethereum network. The testnet should come this February and the manner in the mid-March. More EIPs are waiting for you by the link.

So what?

Because of the FTX crash, we couldn't realize the scale of Ethereum updates. Ofc, that's how the human brain works - we love negativity ethologically... Negative news helped us survive many ages ago. Nowadays, negativity kills us.
