- Individuals appraise the value of their own assets and pay a tax on that appraisal ("self-tax").

- At any time, someone else can force a sale by buying the asset at that price.

Harberger taxes have traditionally been applied to physical real estate. The NiftyApes protocol, on the other hand, proposes to use them for financial arrangements and digital assets.
