Crypto or MasterCard?

Hey #Moni Maker 👌

Today, in 1954, Phil Zimmerman, the American programmer and creator of PGP, was born. Without this invention there would be no Bitcoin & no alts. Happy birthday, Phil 🥳! Thanks for your contribution to the development of such a meaningful industry! In the meantime we’ve got to see what another crypto day has brought.

Let’s go!

Mastercard. WAKE UP!

New monopolist indahouse!

Payments giant Mastercard plans to allow merchants to receive payments in cryptocurrency by the end of this year.

So what?

Okay, ladies and gentlemen, this flash mob is out of control.

It seems to us that HODL is the only way to go in crypto right now. So, what's that smell? Who forgot to throw out the fiat?!

UBER breaks into BTC

Like Habib into the octagon!

In an interview with CNBC, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said they would consider bitcoin as a transaction currency.

But UBER is not considering investing in bitcoins as part of its coffers.

Amazon is working on its own digital currency project

Underpants for Bitcoin

The world's largest online retailer Amazon is working on its own digital currency technology for the Mexican market and is developing digital payment technology. At least this is evidenced by the company's open job posting.

“This product will enable customers to convert their cash in to digital currency using which customers can enjoy online services including shopping for goods and/or services like Prime Video,” one job post said of Amazon’s “new payment product.”

So what?

Do you remember the times when Amazon and Steam were rejecting bitcoin payment, saying it was too volatile and all that.

A change of heart is not a bad thing. Especially when it changes in the right direction :)

Venmo meets crypto!

CRYPTO MADNESS

PayPal said that in the first half of 2021 there should be integration of cryptocurrencies into the Venmo app.

The oldest bank in the U.S. will start working with bitcoin

OLD BANKERS

The oldest bank in the U.S. Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon) announced that for the benefit of its asset management clients it will begin to store BTC and conduct transactions with it and other cryptocurrencies. This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

BNY Mellon said it would allow digital assets to pass through the same plumbing used by managers’ other, more traditional holdings—from Treasurys to technology stocks—using a platform that is now in prototype. The bank is already discussing plans with clients to bring their digital currencies into the fold.

"Digital assets are becoming part of the mainstream," said BNY Mellon head of asset services and digital business Roman Regelman.

The Bank of New York was founded by Alexander Hamilton on June 9, 1784. It is the oldest bank in the United States and the 20th oldest in the world. It was also the first company to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange after it opened in 1792.
