*Doxxing is the act of revealing someone's personal information, de-anonymization if you will. It's when a person is anonymous on the internet, and someone leaks their address, photos, and other personal stuff.

Yesterday, Arkham announced the upcoming token sale on Binance Launchpad and an airdrop. Twitter users discovered that the referral link shared by participants reveals the account's email when decoded. So, you take this link, enter it on the required platforms, and voila - you have the email of the person who invited you to the platform through their referral.

Twitter started buzzing with threads about how terrible this is, and people began doxxing the emails of crypto cats who share the links. They also mentioned that Arkham collects user logs.

Arkham also faced much criticism for announcing a platform for selling data. Roughly speaking, the guys want to launch a platform where you can sell data about specific wallets. Let's say someone wants to find wallets associated with a particular fund. You do that and get some money.

People reacted differently: firstly, Arkham promises anonymity when selling such data, but they couldn't handle anonymity in their referral program. Secondly, many believe that the wallets of ordinary users will be doxxed and handed over to tax and other authorities.
