The Bitcoin Network Overload is Linked to the Popularity of NFT on this Network - Glassnode

Glassnode's analysts have determined that Bitcoin Ordinals have led to a surge in activity on the blockchain.

Bitcoin Ordinals have become a true phenomenon as they allow for storing any information directly on the chain, a chain that is maximally secure.

Currently, NFTs on Bitcoin have surpassed 50,000 units. Additionally, the weight of materials loaded onto the blockchain has increased, nearly doubling, and is approaching the 4 megabyte limit.
