Apes are the brands’ slaves now?

Share

Many BAYC (Bored Apes Yacht Club) owners wanted to rent out their NFTs to different brands or businesses. The idea is to lease intellectual property from the ape owner with further use of those rights.

Crypto accelerator Mouse Belts said it would host all 10,000 NFTs on its just-released Boredjobs platform. That's pretty ambitious, but to have 10,000 BAYCs on their platform, you need every NFT owner to sign up and want to rent it out.

Such a startup is possible because BAYCs provide, along with their NFTs, the intellectual rights to use them. Although we never saw any specific instructions on how intellectual rights could be used. And if we believe Boredjobs, they are now working on creating such an instruction. Still, the lack of an intellectual rights tutor didn't embarrass the first two hundred people who uploaded their NFTs to Boredjobs in the first 24 hours after it was launched.

Co-founder of Mouse Belts, Patrick Mc Lane said that very soon other collections of non-fungible tokens will be added to the platform, for example: Mutant Apes, Gutter Cats, Crypto Punks and many others...

The idea itself from a commercial point of view is great. All what is left to hope is that the developers are as conscientious as possible and did a good job on platform security:D
