Opera and multiblockchains

Share

The Opera browser has decided not to be shy, so it adds support for eight blockchains at once for easier access to dApps and services.

The list above includes Bitcoin, Polygon and Solana, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos and Cosmos-based IXO. The news is heartening for a case where a lot is not a little.

Also, earlier this year, Opera released a beta version of the Crypto Browser. It's a standalone browser with built-in dApp support and a non-custodial crypto wallet.

Solana, StarkEx, Deversifi, IXO, Ronin, Nervos, Bitcoin and Celo are currently only available in Opera for Android and are expected to be supported in the Crypto Browser project the coming months.

A dApp is an application that runs without a backend on a decentralised computer system - such as a blockchain.

Polygon - is a collaboration and scaling platform for creating Ethereum-compatible blockchains.

Solana - a blockchain that uses a unique consensus mechanism called Proof of History (PoH).
