Major cryptocurrency exchange Huobi announced the launch of the world's first national token DMC

Huobi announced the launch of the world's first national token, Dominica Coin (DMC), approved by the Commonwealth of Dominica.

As the world's first national token, DMC will be issued on the Tron blockchain (TRC20) and then integrated into Ethereum (ERC20) and Binance Smart Chain (BEP20).

Huobi said in the announcement that the DMC token will be released for sale through Huobi Prime and that all registered users will be granted Dominica DID status.

"An account verified with Dominica DID enjoys the same rights and interests as an account verified with any other nationality, subject to laws and regulations," according to the statement.

The DMC token "has the status of an authorized cryptocurrency in the Commonwealth of Dominica and may be traded locally in Dominica as a means of payment."

Huobi said future plans include creating the Dominica Metaverse using the DMC token as a native token. Those holders "will enjoy various privileges in the Metaverse." And it's pretty possible that ordinary users, just like you and us, will also be affected.
