Cryptocurrency scammers tried to hijack Apple's presentation

At a recent product presentation, cryptocurrency scammers gathered thousands of viewers while hijacking the live stream.

Apple once again made a presentation. If u could be indignant that nothing has changed from year to year at past product launches, now they didn't bother to make a 5-10% increase in technology. But that's not what this is about at all.

A few hours ago, fraudsters tried to cash in on the presentation. They reworked an interview with the CEO, Tim Cook. Although the Verge states there were many signs of fake, such as the title: Apple Event Live. Ceo of Apple Tim Cook: Apple & Metaverse in 2022.

And it was watched by tens of thousands of Apple's target audience and those who came just to gawk at novelties. Attackers added BTC and ETH logos to the broadcast. They redirected viewers to a questionable URL, which had nothing to do with Apple.

Now the video has been removed, maybe there r some re-downloads somewhere, but they are unlikely to be found. Scams based on trust in a well-known brand are often profitable, but this does not make them any less illegal.
