Tiffany & Co turns NFT crypto punks into jewellery

Share

Tiffany has suddenly jumped into the market with a new offering. It is producing individual pendants with crypto punks. Currently, the price per one will be 30 ETH, which is already more than 40 thousand evergreen pieces of paper.

A total of 250 NFT-inspired charms have been announced. They are designed specifically for NFT crypto pendant holders. The pendant will be inlaid with diamonds and other gems.

Each of the pendants will be made to match the colour scheme of the token in 18-carat rose gold or yellow gold. The agency's marketing director SmartBlocks said in a tweet about the genius of this marketing move.

“More Web2 firms looking to dip their toes in Web3 need to be learning from the quality of this $NFTiff offering and taking notes.” added markfidelman.

And this is far from the first, much less the only luxury market player to decide to get into crypto. Many have previously started accepting crypto payments, such as Balenciaga, Gucci, and Farfetch. Cartier, Prada, and Louis Vuitton have also launched a joint project called Aura, a consortium to operate NFT.

As many enthusiasts predicted years ago, Web-2 is actively trying to transition, at least in part, into Web-3, and such prospects can only speak of a positive change in the market.
