The owner of the secret wallet containing 50% of Axie Infinity tokens has been found

After Michael Benko's remarks about his fears concerning the amount of the wallet, he made everyone happy cause he received an official answer about its owner.

After much speculation about the wallet's ownership, intentions & transfers, we finally know who is behind it. For you, in case u don't remember, just yesterday, we wrote that the wallet that holds 50% of SLP was found. Generally, of all that is in circulation, which is 22 billion SLP tokens, that's about $85 million.

So there you go. This wallet was first identified as the project itself. Still, as it turned out later, it doesn't belong to Axie Infinity (where it can be mined) or Sky Mavis, the project that owns the play-2-earn game.

Axie Infinity co-founder Jeff Zirlin confirmed the address is apparently belonging to Binance on Twitter. The address is a "Binance Ronin gateway contract."

Binance provides various bridges to the Axie Infinity ecosystem. The exchange allows users to withdraw assets from the game to the exchange and vice versa.

In short, Binance just a long time in the subject and supported the project, so such a gateway has a place, and you can withdraw tokens directly from and to the Axie ecosystem with Binance. On the other hand, there is a question about the project's life if already 50% of tokens players have sold, and the price is not moving further, having broken through the 10th expected bottom.
