Sony Music has applied for NFT registration

The trademark application includes various products: videos, lyrics, artwork & audio recordings.

The actual music giant, Sony Music Entertainment, has filed for registration of its products. Isn't it a subtle hint at the upcoming entry into the NFT market?

The list of products will include everything currently under the Columbia Records branding. According to the statement, not only products r covered, but also promotion, distribution, marketing, advertising & online entertainment, including podcasts & audiovisual recordings.

Pantera Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Coinbase Ventures, & Sony Music Entertainment have all recently poured 30 millennials into the NFT digital art marketplace MakerPlace.

So we're waiting for album covers to make the top NFT list and tracks by your favorite artists :D.
