Roche Freedman's lawyers use forensic information about crypto firms for personal gain

Share

This comes after the high-profile Ava Labs case, which according to CryptoLeaks, gave lawyers tokens and shares in exchange for lawsuits with competitors. Now Tether and Bitfinex are demanding that Roche Friedman's law firm remove all court-issued documents and data.

The class action lawsuit, which has been dragging on since 2019... Tether and Bitfinex are accused of it. The accusations were of manipulating the cryptocurrency market and issuing unsecured USDT Stablecoins.

And now, the companies want to exclude Roche Freedman LLC, a law firm, from the class action because Tether believes they are using the information they obtained for improper purposes.

The case also shows that Roche "made many requests for documents to obtain information that has no apparent connection to the claims and objections in this lawsuit." That is, while the case was going on, the company was quietly asking for documents, which were not relevant to the point, but could help their competitors for some reward :D.

The requirements to delete all company information obtained during the court proceedings were followed. It must also be officially confirmed that the Roche law firm did not pass on any internal company information to third parties, including Ava Labs. After all, as we know, Ava Labs has been accused by CryptoLeaks of unhealthy competition by pitting competitors against the courts in exchange for tokens and stock.

Roche has also recently declined to participate in lawsuits against BitMEX, Nexo, Binance, Solana, Tron, and Dfinity.
