Women are joining the Web-3 world

Recently, KuCoin, one of the leading crypto exchanges, conducted its survey. More than three and a half thousand women took part in it. All of them are involved in the Web-3 sphere, including DeFi, GameFi and many more.

Every woman included in the study is a professional in her field, an enthusiast, or those who haven't even had any experience in Web-3.

The report outlined many career paths, and among the metrics recorded: years of experience, level of Web-3 involvement, experience in similar fields, preferred destinations, cultural barriers and more.

Only 16% (as stated in the report) are professionals who have previously worked in related industries like crypto markets, meta-universes, DAO, DeFi, and DApp development. 

Also, the statistics say that 33% had experience working as a company employee. Another 49% had experience as freelancers or outsourced workers. 53% stated a sincere interest in Web-3 as a career path and primary industry of work. And among female developers, only 22% said they were interested in choosing Web-3 as an industry.

Overall, this survey aims to point to the role of women in today's Web-3 sector and show that many of them work not only for their security but also to satisfy their enthusiasm.
