The creator of the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol fork, which runs on Litecoin, has made the same update for the Litecoin network.
On February 18, Australian engineer and programmer Anthony Herrera posted a repository on GitHub that forked Litecoin.
This repository provides the ability to create NFT-like items on the Litecoin network, just as it was done in Bitcoin earlier this year.
The programmer also revealed what pushed him to create such a fork. It turned out to be money :D. A Twitter account by an anonymous username Indigo Nakamoto offered 5 litecoins to anyone who could create the same ordinals as for bitcoin, but on the Litecoin network.
Over time, the offer grew to 22 tokens. But the main difference between BTC Ordinals and Litecoin its price. Creating an ordinal on BTC Chain costs a few dozen dollars, in the same time on LTC it costs a few cents.
