FTX users can transfer BTC using their phone number

There is a new feature on the cryptocurrency platform FTX. Community members can now transfer USD and BTC via email and mobile number. The innovation was announced by the exchange's founder on the Twitter account.  

Unregistered users on the site will not have access to cryptocurrency. You need to create an account, enter data, and pass verification. Without an account, it is not possible to receive a transfer of funds. If the recipient does not perform the specified actions in time, the money will be returned to the sender's account.

The function cannot be called new. Coinbase allowed transferring digital currencies using email back in 2012. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance also supports this type of transaction.

The FTX exchange intends to improve the trading process, upgrade the engine, and increase throughput. New features are being introduced to speed up and increase the number of transactions. The release of the updated version of the platform is expected by the end of the month.

In October, Colin Wu conducted an investigation into FTX's operations. The journalist discovered $1.6 million in embezzlement of Ether, Bitcoin, and other coins. The exchange conducted an audit and found the data leak.
