Last week, demand for land in the metaverse outstripped all other items, including art and collections. Sales totalled more than $300 million.

Sandbox (SAND) sold 4,433 assets for a total of $70.5 million. Decentraland sold 399 assets worth $6.6 million, CryptoVoxels sold 81 assets worth $650,000, Somnium Space traded 40 assets worth $492,000, and SuperWorld sold 506 assets worth $227,600.

Binance and Animoca Brands have launched a $200 million fund to invest in blockchain gaming projects built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC), the companies said in a press release on Monday.

Animoca Brands is an investor in non-fungible tokens and metaverse projects; it has a majority stake in metaverse game The Sandbox, and has invested in Axie Infinity, as well as NFT trading platform OpenSea. It was valued at $2.2 billion after a $65 million round in October.
