Are you a ransomware? Because they began to earn less

Share

Hey Moni Maker 💠

Today they are celebrating Handwriting Day. Ofc, we are web3 enthusiasts who are sharks, and crypto is our water, but... sometimes, it's necessary to use a physical piece of paper and a pen.

Your computer or phone can constantly get hacked - but what will hackers do with physical journaling? Nothing!

So journal something you care about the most to feel your wishes. And yes, today's Digest is about ransomware.

Let's go!

Even ransomware can't make big profits during the bear market

Chainalysis, a crypto analytics company, stated the number of ransomware attacks might be many times higher than they assume. But! People are less likely to pay the redemption.

Ransomware is when you go to gemsdicksuck dot com, download ten GBs of archives with bitcoin signals and porn, and your laptop doesn't work. You see "Pay BTC to restore access" on the screen. Or something like that.

What is known from the report:

- There were 10k new types of ransomware in 2022 when there were only 5k+ in 2021

- But in 2022, the average life of one type of ransomware more than halved, from 153 days to 70 days

- The data varies. But on average, while in 2021, 76% of the victims were paying, in 2022, they were only 41%. Conclusions: there is nothing to pay, and the victims might have wised up and not kept everything on one computer.

- Fun fact: Most scammers send the dough to...centralized exchanges... :D

So what?

The worse the economy - the more scammers - the higher the chance of your money being taken
away.

The more money you have, the greater the chance of it being taken away.

The more illiterate you are on the internet, the more likely you will lose money.

We advise you not to keep all the dough in one wallet, have a cold wallet, or better, a couple. Pick one day this week, let it be Saturday, sit down and think about which sides you can be scammed from.

Crypto is a dangerous place. Btw, we wish you a great week!
