The leader wants more gold!

Hey Moni Maker 🔷

Today, in 1506, archaeologists found a sculpture of Laocoon and His Sons. Thanks for the progress! You can spit towards the NFT as much as you like, but one fact remains the same - blockchain will remember any art and never lose it.

And thanks to Digest, of course. Let's go!

North Korea and Hackers

North Korean cybercriminals had a banner year in 2021, launching at least seven attacks on cryptocurrency platforms that extracted nearly $400 million worth of digital assets last year. These attacks targeted primarily investment firms and centralized exchanges, and made use of phishing lures, code exploits, malware, and advanced social engineering to siphon funds out of these organizations’ internet-connected “hot” wallets into DPRK-controlled addresses. Once North Korea gained custody of the funds, they began a careful laundering process to cover up and cash out.

Morgenstern, this isn't a Cadillac

Mr Morgenstern, a famous Russian rapper, has taken on the TON project shiller. "TON is about to flip bitcoin" and other young influencers' shill toys.

A quote... "The plan for those pushing for TON is to connect all blockchains and the internet and make a global Web 3.0. In short, it's going to be fucking awesome!"

Well, that's all right, man, you want to get into rap crypto, you know who to go to…

Visa & ConsenSys bring CBDC

Visa has teamed up with blockchain tech provider ConsenSys in order to develop new infrastructure that will support the rollout of central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).

The new Visa and ConsenSys tech will be able to plug into existing payments modules, meaning companies will be able to integrate infrastructure to issue things like CBDC-linked payment cards or wallet credentials. It is designed to provide an on-ramp for existing networks.

Oh, scary!

China wanna NFT

China is planning to draw a clear line between cryptocurrencies and nonfungible tokens (NFT) — pretty much the same way it did with its digital currency efforts — before the crypto crackdown in the country harms the local NFT industry.

The Blockchain-based Service Network (BSN), a government-backed blockchain project in China, is working on infrastructure that would support businesses and individuals to build platforms and apps to manage NFTs, the South China Morning Post reported.

Ban crypto! But not all crypto. This one isn't for ban. But ban all crypto!

Lost DeFi funds x2

The amount of money lost in hacks of decentralized financed (DeFi) projects more than doubled to $1.3 billion in 2021, with centralization the most common vulnerability, Certik said in its inaugural "State of DeFi Security" research report.
