Crypto.com turned back; staking is over?

Share

Hey Moni Maker 🥤

Today the whole world celebrates Freedom of the Press Day. Yeah, you can debate all you want about the "freedoms" and "unfreedoms", but not in crypto. Yeah, we've got a bunch of shillers' channels just promoting sh!t projects under the guise of 100x gems...but then there are the ones that select their advertisers thoroughly, choosing reputation over quick money.

Let's go!

OR NOT. OR...

Crypto.com has cancelled staking

Just yesterday, the price of the $CRO token, which is Crypto.com's native token, dropped to $0.2666. That's a 10% drop in 24 hours. What's the reason? Sherlock, we need to find out!

- Crypto.com have announced that they are winding down the staking rewards for their cards: by 69.5% for an essential, and 100% for low-level;

- There was a commotion on Twitter, saying, you're so f*cked;

- Crypto.com CEO said in response that they would adjust the staking changes.

So far, the official Twitter of the exchange has not seen any posts with adjustments, so we wait. But it's funny; the community has booed in one voice and repulsed their rights to the rewards  :D

BITCOIN, ETHEREUM, GO OUT

Wikipedia is going out of business:

For eight years in a row, Wikipedia has been accepting donations in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Recently, a heated battle erupted among members of the Wikimedia Foundation community, the father and mother of Wikipedia - should they continue to support BTC and ETH? The debate has been going on for three months, and it did not end up going in the direction of bitcoin and ether.

The reasons:

- Environmental unsustainability

- Continuing to accept crypto donations would mean supporting digital currencies, and they are polluting the environment so that they might f@ck up Wiki's reputation with it.
